I hate to do this, but after following the instructions provided on mostlysoftware.com for their VMware Video driver port to solaris 8, my VMware box always ends up hanging (with message X_mkdir: No such File or Directory) while testing in kdmconfig (regardless of resolution). pkgadd always installs the packages to /usr/X11R6, and always has to make this directory (since it doesn't exist on my installation of Solaris 8). I even tried creating a symbolic link to /usr/X, but that just completely hosed everything up.

I wonder if I'm missing something? Could anyone possibly provide some insight (or a direction I could head).

Thank you so much
