Please help me.... I have deleted by mistake files in solaris 8 intel OS by rm -r * in one folder. Now I want to get them back.They are soo important for me. Can any body help me out please. I do not have any tape backup.Many many thanks.....

Reply: Ouch - nasty. I have seen someone set up an alias for rm so it runs a script to compress the files then stick them on a seperate slice (like a recycle bin). Anyhow - this is what backups are for I'm afraid :( We've all been there.
