Ok, I have a slight quandry. I've obtained all the files in the i386 folder of the W2K CD, as well as the SP4 network install, update rollup 1, and all my hardware drivers. All this is sitting in a single subdivided folder on my FAT32 Win98SE partition.
Since this pentop has no CD, 3.5", or NIC, using a boot disk is not an opton. Once it is installed I can however use a Wireless PC Card to share my CD drive via a home network, as well as Internet access.
2K was installed to the point of a working desktop, then I rebooted back into 98, and since couldn't find a way to uninstall 2K (since I want a clean install), I just deleted the WINNT folder.
This causes no ill effects on 98's operation, but it does present me with an interesting problem. 2K's boot loader is still present, offering me a choice of 98 or the now non-existant 2K.
I'd like to restore the system so that it just boots straight into 98 by removing 2K's bootloader, but I'm not sure how to do that.
Once the system is back to pure 98SE, I plan to boot into a command prompt, delete all files except for the 2K folder, then start setup via WINNT.EXE.
Any help would be appreciated!
