Comment: I have 2 subnets (192.168.227.0/24 and 192.168.187.0/24) configured as scopes in one DHCP server under superscope. The problem is that as this being one office setup it is becoming difficult to access PCs with their names in different subnets. Due to some unavoidable circumstances we cannot have large subnet to accomodate 450 users. Pl. help me because all the drive mappings and printer shares are shuffeled and not accessable and all mess. One more point is that we donot have the dhcp server configured as DNS (But is it really at all required?) With salute and Regards to ExpertsPARTHIV MEHTA

Reply: You didn't mention what router you have. It could be that the routers that are commonly used at home don't support CIDR which you might need.

Reply: don thanks for ur response Well, CIDR was given in message only to tell that the subnet is 255.255.255.0 Our office setup is part of big organisation and working on VLAN and access to these subnets in VLAN each other is given. The VLAN switch & router are controlled by infotech people only. small IDEA of Infotech arrangement with us: [ouroffice----------singlelink----------*switch*==dblLink==VLANswitch] I wanted to show u this in picture but helpless as don't know how to upload it?
