Comment: we use TS2003 printers mapped from the user profile. we have just recently moved 2 printer drivers, but I suspect our TS is looking at the old (now deleted) location for the driver. Does anybody knows where on TS2003 I can find the file that holds mappings to drivers? I am to try attempt a reboot of the sever, to see if TS sees the new drivers, now resident on another server. Thanks ta.

Reply: user drives and printers are mapped locally in the HKCU registry hive. You can map printers with the rundll32 printgui something dll and use the /ga switch todo a global add but you have to remember to use the same command with the /gd switch or you will not be able to delete the printer. global printers work differently then the local user profile ones. They update across all profiles on the local computer when the user logs in to the computer. as long as you are able to run the commands with out getting headaches you will be ok. as for exactly where in the users registry hive this information is i do not know. ~Kundarsa
