Comment: Hi! If we are using Active Directory Integrated DNS and I wish to deploy a domain controller at a branch office under the same domain (given that the main site would use something like 192.168.132.x and the branch would use 192.168.135.x) would I need to manually add and DNS zones manually or is this automated. Cheers

Reply: It is not a new zone. You would have an entry in AD sites and services for the subnet so AD knows about it. Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Reply: Ahh OK - much appreciated. Reason that I was asking is that we have this same setup for an existing branch (containing a Domian Controller and different subnet). All DNS servers contain a reverse lookup zone for this branch subnet also.
