Comment: Hi, We have a bunch of users that are experiencing this problem with Outlook, and I've seen it in other places as well. We have users on both Outlook 2003 SP2 and Outlook XP (all Win XP), and the issue happens with both, all on Exchange 2003 SP2 on Win 2003 Server. So you type a new email and hit send. The email is now in the outbox and sits there till you click on something else in Outlook (another message or another folder). The same thing for receiving messages, if you're working in another program and then come back to Outlook and click on something, a bunch of messages come in that should have come in on their own when you were working in the other program. "Send immediately when connected" is checked but it's obviously not working correctly. Anyone know of a patch or anything for this issue? Thanks

Reply: Make sure users aren't working offline. Go to file and make sure it is NOT checked. The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.

Reply: Sorry about that Jennifer, I thought I'd try it in a different section, I didn't realize it was against the rules. Anyway, I thought I did answer hydro...did I miss something? "Schedule an automatic send/receive..." is checked and set to 1 minute. Outlook is Online Cache Mode is unchecked

Reply: Turns out this issue has to do with windows firewall. The solution is to add outlook.exe to the firewall exception list. Thanks everyone for your help
