Comment: Our network administrator quitted last friday, and now I don't know (and of course would like to know) how to accomplish these three tasks: 1.- How can I have a user limited to one workstation at a time, because I've found several machines open with the same user's account. 2.- How can I restrict the webpages any user can visit? I tried with Internet Options-Content-etc, but this only lets me do it individually n one machine at a time. Maybe Group Policies? 3.- How can I have just some selected users running MSN Messenger? Thanks in advance.

Reply: The only way to have them restricted to one at a time would be with a third party utility, windows server doesn't support that. You can however make people only able to login to certian workstations if you follow me. Like you can make it so a user is able to login to computer's a,b, and c, but you cannot make it so they can log into only one at a time. You need a proxy server to restrict websites, thats the only central way to do it, you could install parental control software on all of the computers, but you would have to restrict it on all computers. You can't restrict MSN messenger on a per user basis without a proxy server, but you can restrict it to certain computers, using port blocking on a network address translator.
