If you will use this only sometimes, to check e.g. whether a user uses too much space on harddrive, you can use the TotalCommander.
In TotalCommander, go to the root of the drive and press ALT-SHIFT-ENTER to get the size of the listed folders.

I love this little application that plugs right into Windows Explorer. It's called "Folder Size" and written by a guy named Brio.

I would not recommend installing this on your server (although you can if you'd like). Keep it on a desktop machine or install it on a virtual machine or something (that's what I do).
