I have a domain controller installed on Server 2003 SP2 R2. I have users sitting on Win XP SP2 computers connected to the domain. These users are working according to multiple time zones, e.g. US, UK, UAE, APAC. I need the time on the system to change depending on the user login. So if an user is working for a client in Singapore, his/her system should show Singapore time when they log in... and if another user logs in to the system and he/she is working for a US client, the time should change to the current time in US. How can we do this?

The simple answer is you cant. The DC is authoritative for the time in that domain. The clients synchronize there time with the DC. Do you have a DC on each one of those sites? If not the time zone will have to be adjusted manually and they would synchronize with an NTP server on the internet.

Is there some sort of software they are using that necessitates the timechange? Why exactly does the system clock need to be changed?

We need to change the time to ease the users to send calendar invites from outlook and sync their work. For example if a system is set to US time and there is an employee using it who is working on Singapore time.. it gets difficult for them to compute the time difference and send an invite.

Just a suggestion, why not post a Time Zone Chart that lists the countries where you have customers? That way, the users can reference the chart. Or, why not just show the additional Time Zone in the Calendar? That's what I've done in the past.

Back to your question though, I don't think there's a way to do what you want in regard to changing the clock for each user. It's really not practical. I'd go with the two Time Zones in the Calendar.

There is a script, which can change users Times zone.

You just apply this by group policy.

Right now i don't have but you can search the script on the net.

Wow! I would appreciate if you can provide me with something like that. I will search on the net. I have been searching but could not find anything like a script yet.
