Ok!i got this computer it is a Packard Bell A950-TWR it has windows 95 on it i want to upgrade to windows XP and it says i need atleast 64mb of ram 1 i dont know were to get it and it says i need a driver because i installed a Ethernet Card and i dont know were to get a driver can someone help me just email me there and let me know what i can do about all this thankyou

Give up on that idea - 64Mb is only enough for XP to barely run - although you have failed to specify, looks like the original processor (133MHz) is insufficient for XP as well

There was likely a good reason this machine is running Win95 - a more recent version of Windows would overwhelm it

Drivers are OS specific - have you tried searching for a Win95 one?

It would only just about make W98. I'd stick to W95 or get a machine with a far more ambitious spec.

Ditto that. If you want to run XP, you'll have to get a computer that meets the minimum specs. Located here:

Minimum specs are just enough to run an OS very poorly - - you'll be able to say "it runs" but little else

I tend to agree with Paul Thurrott's recommended specs:

500 MHz or faster Pentium III and 256 MB or more of RAM

That's my configuration (exactly) on my old Dell - while no powerhouse, it runs tolerably well
