After installing my S3 Trio 3D AGP card and drivers under Win98, I'm not able to configure the System Properties since I get the message that the drivers are corrupted. I get only 16 Colors Display in 640x480 resolution. Everything else works fine. Could any one help me?

If your driver is corrupted go to www.s3.com and get a good driver. And be aware every card has its functional limit.

WIN95 2.1 OR GREATER is required to run an AGP Card. If you are running anything less, you can obtain patches to upgrade. Properties will show you are running 4.00.950B or C and USB support must be installed (You can check in your "ADD/REMOVE program in Control Panel for "USB Supplement to OSR2). This is what caused my problem. Also, if you have a PCI Card installed next to the AGP Slot, move it if you can, some motherboards (if not all) share the IRQ from PCI Socket to the AGP socket next to it, causing conflicts(Slot1 in many cases) I had the same problem with a CardExpert 740. It is based on intel i740 chip so problem may be similar.

I couldent install S3Trio3D/2x (VA-300A)video card in my BH6-Celeron300A system. I would be grateful if you kindly inform me how can I solwe this problem.

I got a PII 300. And I can't install the S3 Trio3D card to my pc. There's acode 21 or 24. It says that not all the drivers are installed. But they are! I have downloaded the best driver for the card at ww.3s.com . So what am I going to do? Please help me!!!

MY S3TRIO3D NOT WORK CORRECTLY WHIT SOME GAMES:

I got an S3 Trio3D card on my system which crashes everytime I use Direct3d hardware acceleratrion for playing games.

After some trials , I use Tweakbios 1.53b
to set the latency time for my S3 Trio3D card from 64 to 32 and my system seldom crash now when I enable direct3D hardware acceleration when playing Direct3d games.

If you want drivers for windows 9x or NT , go to www.s3.com and download it there yourselves !

S3 Trio 3D/2x card is working very well in the win 98 OS. However in Linux OS ver 6 I could only get 480X 640 resolution? It doesn't look good. I am not able to set to higher resolution. Iam having 15" Acerview 54e monitor

i have a s3 trio 3d/2x 4mb agp w/ chip # 86c368, i installed the driver from the cd, didnt worked. i downloaded new version under win95, but everytime i restart my pc or everytime i open my pc, the pc starts but there is no info appearing in my screen, i tried other graphics card coz i thought there's a problem w/ the monitor, but theres none so i think its just the driver of the s3 trio. pls help asap! i need it for my thesis.

To all of you who have problems there's several soluttions
1. For those vith directX 6.1 problem apears with one kind of VxD driver placed into Windows register.(e mail me if you want to get the name of that driver).
2. For those who have problems with seting display properties with collors i sugest You to get drivers for Your type of Mainboard and to install AGP driver support. (E-mail me and type the correct type of Mainboard and manufacture, also the rest of your hardware) I am avaliable to help you any time

OK. I have problems with S3 Trio3d2x under Win98 SE. When I'm used resolution 1024x768 in TrueColor or HiColor I have problems with text refresh. Always when I'm used any pulldown menu it becames unreadable, and I must to restart my computer, or switch to som aplication running in text mode, and then back. I have this problem only I'm used Full hardware aceleration in Display settings.
Whats the problem ?

I've installed NT Service Pack 5 (SP3 or later required for AGP to work), but after installing S3 Trio3D2X 86C368 drivers, everyting works - except NT hangs when I choose OpenGL screen saver in Control Panel/Display. Anybody know why?

My S3 trio 3d/2x 8mb won't work on some games. I have already installed new directx 7.0a. The display strange looking, and some message "bad hardware setting". Is there any update files or other to solve this problem?

Have same video card. When I boot, the AGP is listed is NA. Anyone know what gives..

I formatted my HD recently, and installed WIN98 SE. It didn't support my S3 Trio 3D 2X card, so I started looking for a driver, but I can't find any on the S3 website. Please help, because I can only use 640x480 in 16 color mode!

well I have a S3 TRIO 3D/2X and I can't get 32 bit of it. All I can get is 24 bit. I believe it can go higher but I need some help on this. Please help. I'll really appreciate it.

This is the biggest piece of s--- on the market. I I installed direct x v.8.0 and this first thing this crapy ass card does is lower my display to 16 color. I tired that whole driver idea but I dont thingk that that is the answer. Help me sombody!

I have just put a S3Trio3D/2X into my Pentium III, running win98 SE, but i keep getting ghost like images when i move a window, or when i pull down a menu, the writing in the menu is hard to read....this is P-ing me off, my pc is totally unusable, and i am still paying the damn thing off........I would very much appreciate it if one of you nice folk out there could help me out......do i need new drivers?, or do i just need to play around with the settings in control panal.......I you can help me out, please give me simple instructions as i am none too clever when it comes to messing with the settings and configuration of my pc.
