My incoming e-mails appear in my Outlook preview panel but when I press ok,some will go into the in-box and some will go into the junk e-mail folder. Others will briefly appear in the in-box and then disappear as if automatically deleted never to be found again.

The junk e-mail option to delete possible junk mail instead of directing it to the junk e-mail folder is unchecked. The senders are all bona fide and do not appear on a black list.

I have scanned the c drive with Kaspersky Internet Security 7, Ad-aware 2008 & Advanced Windows Care 3 and Spyware Terminator to look for for viruses etc. All appears ok. I have reset the Kaspersky settings but the problem persists.

Has anyone got any ideas on the cause of this problem?

Check your rules. Then check the Current View settings and make sure it's set to show all emails, not just unread ones.

For future reference, email questions should really be posted in the Office Software Forum.

Jennifer

Thank you! I rechecked my rules and found that I had inadvertently set the potential junk mail to go into the Junk Mail folder not realising that I had previously set junk mail to be automatically deleted from the folder.

What you can overlook when you(i.e me) are in a state of panic!

Thank you again!
